One of the project’s senior executives, Habib Karami, pointed to the great potential of Iranian petrochemical production and touched upon the necessity for Iran’s neighboring countries to build petrochemical enterprises. He said the great progress Iranian engineers have made in petrochemical production has attracted the attention of many countries and there is every reasons to believe that in the next few years Iranian experts will implement important petrochemical projects in this region.

The Iranian ambassador in Baku, Mohammed Baker Bahrami, said Azerbaijan welcomes the participation of Iranian engineering companies in investment projects and reported that the main projects currently being implemented by Iranian experts are, in addition to the building of the methanol plant, the construction of twin-towers in Baku and of a road between Baku and Astara.
