Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia meet in New York

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, within the framework of the 70th UN General Assembly session in New York.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with development of bilateral relations and noted that the mutually beneficial cooperation between Baku and Tbilisi is an example for the entire region. The parties also noted that jointly undertaken major transport and energy projects will contribute to the growth of shipping and the development of bilateral trade and economic relations in general.

Elmar Mammadyarov invited his Georgian counterpart to visit Azerbaijan. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, accepting the invitation, said that Georgia is ready to provide support in all important issues for Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
