Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree adjusting the
country's visa regime. The Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku
has ceased issuing visas to foreign citizens.

Entry visas used to be issued at the airport. Now foreigners will have
to receive visas before arriving at the airport.

The law does not concern citizens of Turkey, where Azerbaijan has
diplomatic missions, and Israel, where Azerbaijan has no diplomatic
missions, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Elkhan Polukhov, said.

He added that countries with direct air links with Azerbaijan will be
issued visas at the airport in Baku.
