Imprisonment in case of nonpayment of insurance

The economic crisis forces authorities to continue to toughen conditions for business. The government is working out amendments to the legislation that criminalize non-payment of insurance premiums to non-budgetary funds.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation proposed to add the line ‘premiums’ to the Article 199 point 2 of the RF Criminal Code. Now the article contains information only about ‘taxes.’ The maximum term is 5 years of imprisonment.
