Special Forces in Chechnya have detained a group of Islamic State sympathizers in the republic, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said.

"There were two sympathizers and one beginner. We found and detained them," he said.

Kadyrov added that IS supporters have been caught who tried to recruit people from respected families. He explained the choice of the terrorists, that "if a person from that family says something, it will be significant," which is why they make every effort to recruit one such person more than 100 others, TASS reports.
