Syrian opposition representatives sign declaration after conference in Astana

The most discussed topics in the course of it were the beginning of the operation of Russia against acting on the territory of the Middle Eastern republic terrorist organization Islamic State, and the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will be held next year.
Following the talks, representatives of the opposition signed a declaration, which contains six items for the agenda of the final debate. It particularly emphasized the importance of holding the parliamentary elections under international supervision and with the guarantee of safety of all the candidates, as well as the reform of army and security structures.
Representatives of the opposition, following the conference, are planning to appeal to the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, asking him to act as a mediator in the settlement of the Syrian crisis, RIA Novosti reported.
