Russia and Armenia expand cooperation in nuclear safety field

Russia and Armenia signed an intergovernmental agreement on the exchange of information in the field of nuclear and radiation safety of their nuclear power facilities.

The document was signed by the head of Rosatom, Sergei Kiriyenko, and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yervand Zakharyan. According to the document, the sides will exchange nuclear and radiation safety data on a permanent basis.

In addition, the Russian Federation and Armenia will develop practical measures for the implementation of made commitments, including the determination of the order and the amount of information transmitted on a regular basis in this area, RIA Novosti reports.
