Group on Islamic Banking starts to work in Central Bank

The Bank of Russia has formed a working group, which will consider the scope for the introduction of Islamic banking services in Rusby sia.

For the first time, members of the group gathered at the meeting on October 1st, and today, the Central Bank held expert hearings on Islamic banking and finance in Russia.

"The Bank of Russia created a working group to study the legal, regulatory and organizational mechanisms and opportunities to provide services of the partnership (Islamic) banking in Russia," RIA Novosti cites the report of the regulator.
