Erdogan: IS casts a shadow over Islam, which preaches peace

The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) discredits Islam, which is essentially a religion of peace. This statement was made by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit to Japan, during a visit to a mosque.

"Islam is a religion of peace. There are well-known terrorist organizations, which operate under the name of Islam, casting a shadow on the call of our religion for peace. One of these organizations is IS," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
