Four Islamists escape prison in Kyrgyzstan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaNine Islamists broke out of a prison in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday night, killing three guards and injuring a guard and another prisoner. The prisoners were charged with religious extremism and terrorism, the State Penitentiary Service of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
Five prisoners were later captured. Two of the escapees were serving life sentences, while the other two had been charged.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Temir Sariyev said that a criminal case was initiated.
