Relations between Russia and Turkey should be assessed not only in terms of the past, but also in terms of the future, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey, Ali Kemal Aydin, stated at the third plenary session 'Strategic interests and prospects of cooperation between Russia and Turkey in solving regional problems' at the international conference 'Russia and Turkey: strengthening of multifaceted cooperation' a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza reported.

"In the past, we developed our relationship with giant steps. Russia and Turkey have reached a level where they were able to determine the policy of the Middle East region. At the same time, we must think not only about ourselves, but also about the interests of all countries in the region. When we think about the future, for example, of the Caucasus, of the Balkans, of the Middle East, we see that we still cannot achieve peace in these regions. Now, Russia and Turkey have strategic relations, important for the entire region, and the more we discuss regional problems, the faster we will reach a common vector of development," the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey expressed confidence.
