Lavrov and Kerry discuss Syria

A telephone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry was held today, during which the parties discussed security measures in the airspace of Syria.

According to the report, published on the website of the Ministry, satisfaction with the work on the policy of the military departments of Russia and the United States to agree on security measures in the airspace of Syria in the context of anti-terrorist actions was expressed in the framework of the conversation.

Kerry and Lavrov also agreed on further contacts on various aspects of the settlement of the Syrian situation in accordance with the Geneva communiqué.
