Turkmen Foreign Ministry denies Nazarbayev's words

The Turkmen Foreign Ministry has expressed its official protest to Kazakhstan in connection with the recent statement by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

Speaking about the security situation in Central Asia at a meeting with the Russian President, Nazarbayev talked about some “incidents that occurred on the border of Turkmenistan.” "Because what is happening in Syria, this is a common threat to all of us, particularly the Central Asian region. So we are putting forward an idea of creating an 'Islam Against Terrorism' forum," he said.

"The Turkmen side expresses its protest, and referring to traditional brotherly relations between the two countries, hopes that Kazakhstan in future will rely on more objective information while assessing the situation in Turkmenistan," Trend cited the statement as saying.
