Kyrgyzstan to host next CIS summit

The next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State will be held in September next year, the Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary, Sergey Lebedev, said.

"As the President of Kyrgyzstan proposed, the next sitting of the CIS Heads of State Council will be held in Kyrgyzstan on September 16th 2016," Novosti-Kazakhstan cited Lebedev as saying.

Today's meeting was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Andrei Galbur, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Satlyk Satlykov, Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yuri Lazebnyk, Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary, Sergey Lebedev.
