Latvia decides to dissociate itself from Russia

Following a decision by Estonia, the Republic of Latvia has decided to erect a fence on the border with Russia, the Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis announced today.

The fence will be 90 km long, and it is intended to combat illegal migration, the minister noted. According to Kozlovskis,  surveillance cameras and sensor systems will be installed on the fence.
