Russia and USA to hold meeting on Syria

According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, the office has confirmed that the United States offered to hold a meeting on Syria this week. The format and the date of the meeting are being fixed.

"We are a to hold a meeting on Russia’s initiative, dedicated to the Syrian settlement. The format, venue and exact date is being specified at the moment. We have always been ready to hold such a meeting and we wanted contacts among specialized agencies in order to solve relevant issues,’’ RIA Novosti reports.
