400 units of munition found near TV-tower in Azerbaijan’s capital

400 more units of munition were found during search operations near the TV-tower in Baku’s Sabail district on Friday, ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) expert Parviz Gidayev told APA.

Gidayev said ANAMA received information about the unexploded munitions on November 10, and 170 munitions units were taken to ANAMA’s training arena in Guzdek for disposal.

“Mine-clearance operations are continuing in the area,” Gidayev said.

The ANAMA experts said mostly anti-tank shells and NURS helicopter-launched missiles were found there.
