Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili continues to insist on holding a special meeting of the government on the issue of negotiations with Gazprom about a possible increase in the volume of Russian gas supplies to the republic.

"We have heard a lot of conflicting versions about this issue from high-ranking officials. We want to get information about such strategically important issues. We were asked to hold talks with certain high-ranking officials and look into the situation. There was a lot of such talk, but we did not get a clear picture. Therefore, our demand to review the issue of Gazprom at the government meeting is still in force," RIA Novosti quoted the presidential advisor Pikria Chikhradze as saying.
