Moscow honors the memory of Muslim Magomayev
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaMoscow hosted commemorative events today in honor of Muslim Magomayev. Traditionally, they have been held at his monument, installed in Voznesensky Lane. Close ones and admirers of the famous singer laid flowers there and shared their memories of him. The correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza was able to talk with participants of the ceremony Tamara Sinyavskaya, Lev Leshchenko, Aras Agalarov and Emin Agalarov and Mehdi Mammedov.
The widow of Muslim Magomayev, People's Artist of the USSR Tamara Sinyavskaya, admitted that for her today is a day of sorrow. "You know ... "My grief is bright, my sadness is full of only you," Alexander Pushkin wrote. Bright grief. The day of the death of the most important person. The most heartful, the most friendly, the most honest, the most decent, the most beautiful, most talented person. That is what this day means for me. A loss. Huge and irreplaceable. But we continue to live. I find it hard to live with it, but I live. Mostly in memories, of course. So for me, October 25th is not the most joyful day, to tell you the truth," she said.
"The best day is August 17, when Muslim was born. I always celebrate this day, too. On August 17 we were always in Baku, always on the beach. On October 25, I am here, surrounded by friends, and therefore I'm not alone. And then, of course, after a few days I always go to Baku, to him, to the Alley of Honor burial," she added.
People's Artist of the USSR Lev Leshchenko shared his memories of Muslim Magomayev. "Today is the day of the memory of Muslim, and we came to tell him words of gratitude, bow down to him, and gather to understand and feel again what he meant to us. He kind of illuminated our black-and-white time. It became bright, very event-driven. He worked brilliantly on the stage, was a versatile actor and musician. He opened the world for our viewers, for our audience. He defined new approaches to the art of variety theatre. He was a pioneer, and I would say a truly passionate individual. So we thank him for what he was in our lives," the famous singer said.
The president and owner of the group of companies Crocus Group, Aras Agalarov, noted that the work of Magomayev is of great importance not only for him. "He is important for Russia and for the whole Caucasus, because, you know, the man was named Muslim, his patronymic was Magometovich, his surname was Magomayev. And for the whole Muslim world it is a kind of symbol. And imagine, with such a name, surname and patronymic, what kind of singer, performer, composer, man he had to be, for the whole country to love him so much," he explained.
His son, the famous singer Emin Agallarov, admitted that, for him, Muslim Magomayev is the "musical everything". "And a great friend of mine," he added.
The artist also spoke about the documentary film 'Muslim Magomayev. In the First Person', prepared by him together with the director Mehdi Mamedov, released today on the First Channel of Russian television. "So many wonderful films about Muslimov Magometovich were filmed, probably from the 70s-80s. At some point it became clear that there was no film where he himself talks about his life. In this case, we have decided that it would be right to finally make a movie where all the texts are written by him, that is, taken from his books, his manuscripts. And we have not inserted a single word from us," Emin Agalarov concluded.
