Japanese company to build thermal power plant in Turkmenistan

The Japanese Trade and Investment Corporation Sumitomo Corp will build a thermal power plant in Turkmenistan. It has won a $300 million deal on the construction of a thermal power plant powered by natural gas with a capacity of 400 MW.

This agreement was reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, to Turkmenistan, TASS cited the statement of the company as saying.
