Abbas hopes for speedy recognition of Palestine by EU countries

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has said in an interview with journalists before a meeting with the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini, and expressed his hope for a speedy recognition of his country by a number of EU member states.

In his speech, the politician recalled that "the positions of many parliaments have recommended to recognize the state status of Palestine.’’
