Lavrov and ex-Secretary General of LAS discuss Middle East

Today, Moscow hosted the meeting of Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, and former Egyptian Foreign Minister and former Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS), Amr Moussa, where the parties discussed the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry report, during the conversation the sides discussed key aspects of Russian-Egyptian cooperation, and exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as paid special attention to issues of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya.

Moussa is in Moscow at the invitation of the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs.
