Today, the head of the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs, Igor Barinov, and chairman of the Chechen government, Abubakar Edelgeriev, signed a cooperation agreement in Grozny.

"The Chechen Republic is doing a lot in terms of prevention of extremist movements, qualitative work is being performed. I think that by summing up the experience of these programs and activities, which are being implemented today across the country, we are able to make these results even more effective. The result of this should be peace and harmony between the peoples living in the Russian Federation," TASS quotes Barinov as saying.

The head of the department added that, by signing this agreement, the agency agrees to help Chechnya in the creation of programs.
