Makhachkala holds elections for mayor

The deputies of the City Assembly of Makhachkala will elect a mayor today.

The selection of candidates for the post of head of the city district took place in two stages: first on  27th October and the final stage on 28th October. "The deputies will elect the head of the city in an open vote," a spokesman of Makhachkala City Council said.

According to him, 113 applications were filed during the month, the Commission selected a few people who will be presented to the city assembly.
