Ilyas Umakhanov: Russia and Azerbaijan have common challenges and values

The Azerbaijani language is studied in nearly 100 Russian schools. The leading Russian universities are opening their branches in Azerbaijan, a deputy chairman of the Federation Council, Ilyas Umakhanov, said during the 6th Forum of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia ‘AYOR: For the worthy future for young people.’

"The Caucasus is a single vessel. We share common challenges, spiritual values, common cultural traditions," he said, noting that Russia appreciates this relationship very much.
