Russian plane was not shot down by terrorists, Ministry of Transport reports

The Russian Transport Ministry has denied information published by the press that the Russian Airbus A321 which crashed this morning in Egypt was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile fired by terrorists.

"This information cannot be considered reliable," TASS quotes the head of the Ministry, Maxim Sokolov.

He explained that the Ministry of Transport is cooperating closely with the aeronautical authorities of Egypt, and they have no confirmation of this information.
