The Assistant for Social and Political Issues of the President of Azerbaijan, Ali Hasanov, told journalists today that there are enough international observers to witness open and democratic parliamentary elections in the republic.

Hasanov noted that the refusal of the OSCE ODIHR to observe the elections is explained by the biased position of the structure towards Azerbaijan.

"Bureau has taken this position for many years. This time, the differences that have arisen between the Azerbaijani government and the Bureau on election observation methodology have led to the fact that the organization did not back down from its claims and refused to send an observation mission," Trend quoted him as saying.
