Akshin Mehdiyev appointed OIC permanent representative to EU

Azerbaijani diplomat Akshin Mehdiyev has been appointed the permanent representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the European Union.

Akshin Mehtiyev’s nomination was approved by the OIC General Secretariat. he will assume his duties on December 1.

Previously, he was the permanent representative of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe (2001-2006) and the United Nations (2006 to 2014), Trend reports.
