Singers Competition starts in Baku

The Fifth Jubilee Singers' Competition named after the famous Azerbaijani Soviet opera singer Bul Bul started today in Baku, says Trend. 79 artists from 11 countries will compete this year.

"This time we tried to invite more European professionals to the jury: a director of opera theatre, a casting director, and renowned musicians," Polad Bulbuloglu, one of the organizers of the competition, head of the Bul Bul foundation and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, said before the opening ceremony.
