Russia to show latest military developments at Dubai Airshow-2015

As the managing director of the F&E Aerospace company, which is organizing the exhibition, Michel van Ekelizhen reported, the current air show is significantly superior to the previous one, which took place in 2013.
This year, about 800 companies from 50 countries have announced their participation. The most large-scale exhibitions will be presented by the UAE (234 companies), the USA (185 companies), the United Kingdom (67 companies), France (55 companies) and Germany (41 companies).
The exhibition was opened by the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, the ruler of Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Daily demonstrative performances of aviation equipment are planned. According to the organizers, invitations to visit the exhibition were sent to representatives of the management of the military departments of 103 countries.
"We expect that the exhibition will be attended by more than 1100 participants from 60 countries and about 1750 journalists," van Ekelizhen informed. "It is expected that the exhibition will be visited by about 65 thousand people," TASS cites him as saying.
The exhibition area of the Dubai Airshow 2015 will feature more than 160 aircraft, and, for the first time, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can participate in the flying program of the show. "In terms of scale, the Dubai Airshow 2015 is twice as large as the first exhibition, which was held in 2001," Michel van Ekelizhen added.
The exhibition Dubai Airshow-2015 will be attended by twenty-three Russian companies, including 'MiG', 'Russian Helicopters' and 'Almaz-Antei', which will present about 200 exhibits of military products, the press service of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia reported.
The organizer of the Russian exposition of military products is Rostec. The area of the united Russian exposition will amount to 678 square meters. Russia has been taking part in the Dubai Airshow since 1993.
The press service of 'Almaz-Antei' noted that the company will present about 20 models of military products, including the S-400 anti-aircraft system, the Buk-M2E and 'Thor', as well as the latest radar complexes.
The press service also specified that 'Almaz-Antey' will bring a number of new products, which have not previously been demonstrated at the exhibition.
An advisor to the General Director of 'Rosoboronexport', Michael Zavaliy, who heads the delegation of the company at the air show, noted that the interest of Middle Eastern countries in Russian weapons has increased significantly due to the unstable situation in the region.
According to him, Middle Eastern partners are primarily interested in weapons and equipment for ground and air forces, as well as air defense systems.
