Mogherini meets with Garibashvili

A joint press conference of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili took place today in Tbilisi.

According to Mogherini, media freedom and independence of the courts are important for the democratic development of Georgia.

Recall that the topic of media freedom in Georgia started being discussed after the beginning of the trial over one of the most popular TV channels, ‘Rustavi 2.’
