Road bridge to connect Baku and Pirallahi peninsula

The OJSC Azeryolservis is finishing the construction of a road bridge over the highway that connects the Absheron peninsula to the settlement of Pirallahi.

"Work on the construction of the pillars and supporting walls of the bridge have already been completed. The concreting of the bridge will be ended before the end of the month. The length of the road junction located at the 23rd kilometer of the Gala–Pirallahi Road is 710 m, the length of the pavement section of the road is 433 m, the total length of the road with adjacent roads is 1300 m. The height of the road above the sea is 14 m, the overall width is 14 m and the width of traffic lanes is 12 m," abc.az reports.

The construction work is 85% complete and by the end of 2015 or in early 2016 the company plans to commission the bridge, after which free sailing of marine vehicles under the bridge will be organized.
