Evening in memory of Kerim Kerimov take place in Moscow

A memorial evening dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Soviet scientist, engineer, lieutenant-general of artillery and chairman of the State Commission on flight testing of manned spacecraft, Kerim Kerimov, took place today at the Moscow Space Museum. The documentary film ‘Revival’ about the life and activity of the outstanding scientist was presented there. 

He was one of the founders of the Soviet space program, who made a significant contribution to space exploration. Kerim Kerimov was born on November 14th 1917 in Baku. For many years he was a central figure in the Soviet space program. 

Speaking at the evening, film director and People's Artist of Azerbaijan Vasif Babayev told about the birth of the documentary film, where he tried to show the idea of the ​​Azerbaijani cosmic pyramid.

The role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of the space industry is emphasized in the film along with stories about Kerim Kerimov’s life.
