The Georgian government has made progress in the process of liberalizing the visa regime with the EU, but the work has not been finished yet, the European Union’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said.

"We welcome the fact that Georgia has successfully achieved many incremental goals in the Visa Liberalization Action Plan. Of course, the efforts to fulfill the remaining ones must continue," Mogherini said at a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Brussels, Sputnik Georgia reports.

According to the report of the European Commission, by 8 May 2015 Georgia had completed 7 out of 15 major requirements under the second phase of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan. The fourth report of the European Commission will be published on December 15.
