UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Baku branch of Moscow State University

British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Irfan Siddig visited the Baku branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, where he met with the rector of the branch, a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), professor Nargiz Pashayeva, as well as teachers and students of the university.

Nargiz Pashayeva, welcoming the British ambassador, thanked him for his visit to the university and briefed him about the activities of the branch, its faculties and specialties.

The ambassador pointed out that the practice of the university is very important for the development of language, and highly appreciated the activities of the branch in this direction.

Pashayeva also told the ambassador about the activities of he Nizami Ganjavi Scientific Center at the University of Oxford. Irfan Siddig, in his turn, said that the Centre and its activities are very important for bilateral relations in the sphere of science and education and it is a real example of tolerance in the modern world.
