Viktor Ozerov: people leaving Russia to join terrorists should be deprived of citizenship
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIn the near future, Russians who go to participate in terrorist organizations' activities could be deprived of citizenship, the senator of the Khabarovsk Region, Russian Federation Council's Defense and Security Committee Chairman, Viktor Ozerov, said during a meeting of members of the Federation Council and State Duma deputies.
Ozerov also expressed hope that the international community will cope with terrorism, and criminals will be in the dock of an international tribunal, as happened 70 years ago after the Second World War.
"I am deeply convinced that success in the fight against terrorism lies in the humanitarian sphere," the senator added.
"The determination and power of the strikes at the lairs of terror in Syria show that our country is ready to struggle to the bitter end. Our army and navy have everything they need to perform these tasks, and our soldiers are ready to defend our national interests anywhere in the world," Victor Ozerov concluded.
