Azerbaijan creates national card system

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan is creating a national system for processing card payments.

The national network of card payments will allow information on transactions from issued payment cards to be processed in Azerbaijan itself. Processing will be carried out on the basis of new infrastructure through the interface between the card processing centers of the country. The works will be carried out in the framework of its project 'Modernization of the payment system', abc.az cited the report of the office of the Azerbaijani Central Bank.

This is the second official attempt to return the processing of domestic payments to Azerbaijan.
