The current Russian legal system needs tightening, especially in the field of security, the chairman of the Russian Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin said.

He stated that the choice between freedom and security is meaningless, since safety is one of the basic human freedoms, the authorities can limit other freedoms to ensure this one.

In addition, Zorkin spoke about the need to make changes not only to the Russian legal system, but also to the UN legal norms that there were no conflicts between the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and its "arbitrary interpretation."
