District (NCFD), had a meeting with youth activists of the region on
Wednesday, the department for domestic policy of the envoy's office
reports. Preparation for establishing the All-Caucasus Youth Alliance
was the main topic of discussions.
The new organization will realize an efficient youth policy. It will
consolidate socially active youth using grants and financing of
specific social initiatives.
The youth council will supervise the work of the organization. The
council will consist of heads of specialized organizations, young
scientists, young parliamentarians from all the regions of the NCFD.
There will be a system of search for perspective youth leaders by
organizing regular discussion clubs and other types of discussion
platforms.
The Internet will also be more widely used. Participants of the
meeting presented a model of an internet-portal for Caucasus youth to
Khloponin. It has special interactive features and mechanisms of
dialogue.
Khloponin approved the proposals. He pointed out the drawbacks of some
of the initiatives. For, example the envoy sees no prospect in student
construction groups as a proper source for income of young people.
Nonetheless, Khloponin believes that the economic life of the Caucasus
youth is beneficial. Yet, he said that it should not be limited with
only economic activity. Russia has great need for workers in Siberia,
he said. As an example, Khloponin said that oil companies offer high
wages to young specialists.
At the meeting the sides also talked on cooperation between the
alliance and the youth subdivisions of regional administrations.
Alexander Khloponin said that there will be adjustments to the work of
the latter. Financing will also be improved. Khloponin pointed out
that youth financing in the Krasnodar Territory reaches approximately
1.5 billion rubles. The finances are spent on realization of various
initiatives of the youth, establishment of centers of extreme sports,
art, theatres and music clubs.
