Mammadyarov: we expect meeting between Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan to take place soon

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov said that Russia proposed to hold a meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, in the near future.

"It was proposed to hold a meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, and we have agreed. We expect this meeting to happen soon," Trend cited the minister as saying.

It is reported that several measures allowing steps to be taken in addressing the Nagorno-Karabakh issue were developed during Russian FM Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Azerbaijan.
