Iran is preparing to supply gas to Europe

Director-General of the National Iranian Gas Export Company Seyed Reza Kesai-zade said that the contract  concerning supply of Iranian gas to Pakistan will come into the implementation stage early May, reports Iran News referring to the ISNA news agency.

The Director-General also specified the intensification of negotiations over the producrion activity in the North Pars gas field.

Six possible gas supply routes are currently being considered in connection with the 9th national gas pipeline construction project.  The Persian, Nabucco and Iraq - Syria – Italy gas pipelines are considered the most probable ones. According to S.R.Kesai-zade the  Iraq - Syria – Italy gas pipeline is considered very important and  is able to compete successfully with the other two options.

Moreover, gas supplies to Switzerland is another priority for the National Iranian Gas Export Company . Currently, the terminal decision of the Swiss side is being awaited.
