Firefighters fight forest fire in Tabasaransky district

"The reasons for their occurrence in the vicinity of the villages of Kurkak, Khuchni, Djubek, Hustil and others are still unknown," the district administration reported, noting that dry foliage contributed to the spread of the fire.
Excessive smoke in the Tabasaransky district has lasted for three days already. According to the the head of the Tabasaransky forest rangers, Amir Gadzhimutelimov, the fires have caused little damage to the forest, because the fire is considered to be 'ground fire', RIA Dagestan reported.
