Georgia and UK discuss trade and economic cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, met with the UK Minister for Trade and Investment, Francis Maude, in London.

The sides discussed bilateral trade and economic relations and prospects for their development. Kvirikashvili told Maude about the reforms which Georgia implemented in the economic sector and other areas. Maude, in his turn, expressed interest in holding special events for the British business community, where they can learn more about Georgia’s investment potential. The sides also noted the regional significance of Georgia, which makes it attractive among international investors.

The ministers also discussed the progress of implementation of the free trade agreement with the European Union, Georgia Online reports.
