Vladimir Putin among Foreign Policy magazine’s global thinkers list

Russian President Vladimir Putin was included in the '100 leading global thinkers of 2015' rating by the Foreign Policy magazine.

Putin was named as a leading global thinker in the decision-makers' category along with German Chancellor, President of Mauritius, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Sweden's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia and former Finance Minister of Greece, as well as two international groups - the American-Iranian and US-Cuban who have worked on the important agreements this year.

The magazine linked the choice to Russia’s airstrikes in Syria against terrorists and the growing popularity of Putin.

The Foreign Policy’s global thinkers rating has been released for the seventh year in a row, reminds TASS reports.
