The Constitutional Court of Georgia is to consider a suit to ban Russian state channels. It is known that the claim was sent by the leader of the public movement Iberia, the associate of Mikheil Saakashvili, Nika Rurua.

According to him, Russian TV channels represent a threat to the pro-European choice of Georgia and delude people by distorting the existing reality. Rurua believes that this ban would not affect the freedom of the media.

"The ban won't affect free media" RBC cites him as saying.
