Something threatens US Consulate in Istanbul

The US State Department has recommended that US citizens refrain from visiting the Consulate General in Istanbul this weekend in connection with information on a threat to the security of the diplomatic mission.

"In connection with information about the immediate threat to the security of the US Consulate General in Istanbul, we recommend US citizens not to visit the consulate today," the website of the Advisory Council on International Security under the US State Department reported.
