Sochi launches electric substation

Sochi has held the opening ceremony of  the 110 kV Vishnyovaya
substation to improve energy supplies of consumers and Olympic
facilities, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service of
Kubanenergo.

The source notes that the substation is important for the Makarenko
micro district as a rapidly growing area.

It will also be technologically connected to the M-27 federal highway
Jubga-Sochi, an Olympic facility, as well as several other road
branches of the Central Area of the city.

Up-to-date national and foreign technology was used in constructing
Vishnyovaya. It has two power transformers with a power of 80 MW. The
substation has micro processor devices.
