US does not plan to redeploy Patriot air defense missile systems to Turkey in connection with the conflict between Ankara and Moscow after the incident with the Russian Su-24, the commander of the US Army in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, said.

He recalled that US anti-aircraft missile complexes were placed in Turkey two years ago. At the end of last summer, the United States decided to withdraw them in October 2015.

"I am not aware of any discussion of the US Defense Department on the possibility of returning Patriot systems to Turkey," TASS cited him as saying.
