King of Sweden awards Svetlana Aleksievich Nobel Prize for Literature

Today the Nobel Prize in 2015 for medicine, physics, chemistry, literature and economics were awarded at the Stockholm Philharmonic Hall. Diplomas and gold medals were awarded by the King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf himself.

The Prize for literature was received by Belarusian writer Svetlana Aleksievich for "polyphonic works that are a monument to suffering and courage in our times,’’ Tass reports.
