Hague court will not consider the case of accession of Crimea to Russia, media report

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague cannot open a criminal case into the merging of the peninsula of Crimea with Russia according to a Ukrainian application, the ICC spokesperson Fadi El Abdallah said today, the UNIAN news agency reports with reference to its own correspondent.

The representative of the ICC explained that the function of cases related to the so-called ‘acts of aggression’ may appear at the International Criminal Court before the end of 2017, and only if the relevant rules are ratified by at least 30 states.
